Offers wilderness and survival training in preparation for the search and rescue of individuals in Vanderhoof and area. Manages ground search under direction of the R.C.M.P.

You must be 16 years or older to join this volunteer crew.

Provincial Emergency Preparedness (P.E.P.)

The P.E.P. acts as a liaison between the Auto Extrication Society, ground and air search and rescue groups, and the municipal and provincial governments in the planning of and response to disasters.

They are responsible for the preparation and updating of municipal emergency response plans. The P.E.P. also offers training to interested individuals.

After hours calls are routed through the Prince George detachment, which then dispatches local officers on duty in Vanderhoof. There is an emergency call box at the front door.
